This former carriage from the Orient Express was built in 1925 and has found a suitable retirement home on a section of railway not far from St Lazare in the French capital. Le Wagon Bleu is a step back in time to the elegance of early 20th century travel. Sparkling crystal champagne glasses, velvet and leather covered furnishings bring to mind stories of romantic affairs or spies from yesteryear. This place is worth it just for the decor, but the food is good too with typical French and Corsican meat dishes served with fresh seasonal vegetables.
